While on a call with my mother, we were discussing the intricacies of the English language. We talked about all these phrases and slogans people use in the conversational English language, many of which are idioms. As we were talking, I realized how simple English idioms were once they were broken down. I wanted to depict the most literal sense of common idioms, beginning first with bed of roses. In the traditional sense this specific phrase means the easy and comfortable situation one is in. Often people hesitate to endure change once they are laying in their bed of roses.
