While on a call with my mother, we were discussing the intricacies of the English language. We talked about all these phrases and slogans people use in the conversational English language, many of which are idioms. As we were talking, I realized how simple English idioms were once they were broken down. I wanted to depict the most literal sense of common idioms with heart of gold stemming from my connection with the medical field. People are seen to have a heart of gold if they are kind, generous, and have good intentions. I wanted to show that people are not necessarily born with a heart of gold or not, but rather everyone has similarities in their anatomical heart and can be kind and generous as depicted by the dripping, coated gold.
